An elf woman in a green cloak that is playing a cithern sit on a corner of the Friendly Arm Inn courtyardlooks from her bench how the table is put on the middle of the courtyard and how the merchant put the wares on it. When the merchant finishes the melody still sounds for several minutes. Afterwards, the elf approaches with the instrument hanging on her back. After a considerable time, she points to a longsword. An interesting blade you have here, that emanates a freezing aura. Tell me, would twelve bags of gold be enough to buy it?
/ 12k for the Frost Lonsword +3

Raston examines the elf woman briefly then smiles with an apologetic expression.
"I'm afraid not miss. I would require somewhat more for it if I'm to let that one go."

The woman changes the weight from one foot to another, remaining silent for some seconds as she was assimilating what the man says or simply her time to answer. Her face doesn't change its expression during this time. Something more? Hmmmmm... She sighs and adds: OK, I can offer you eighteen bags for it. Is that enough? She raises a brow.

Raston offers the woman a slight smile without answering at first.
"It would appear that you and I value this weapon very differently and I didn't offer you a counter offer before, simply because we are so far apart that it would seem futile."
His smiles fades.
"I appreciate your offer miss but your offer is far too low to take home this sword."

The elf woman crosses her arms. Then please tell me... How much are you asking for the blade? Maybe if you tell me what that counter offer might be, we can make things more... agile. Don't you think so? She says in a low and neutral tone, not looking sarcastic or angry.

Raston sighs and pauses while considering a fitting response.
"I do believe you are right.
However the reason I haven't given my items a price, is that I want the customers to come up with an offer and then I will accept or reject the price.
And why would I abandon that principle just because you are underbidding one of my items heavily?"
Rastons tone is firm but without content.
"But as I've already hinted, your offer is way below what I'm asking for that particular blade."

The elf woman considers the merchant words for a moment, not changing her neutral expression. OK then. I will play your game... Let's say 25 bags, which is a considerable rise in my offer. What does that seems to you?

Raston chuckles slightly, seeming quite amuzed.
"I can see where this is going.
So to save ourselves some time I will hint you a price.
If you multiply your offer by four then I will consider it carefully."

The elf woman speaks in the same neutral tone as before, slightly tilting the head. By four? She arches the brow. You must be kidding, that 's a huge amount of gold. She shakes the head. I assure you I won't pay that sume. If we can not agree something in between, I fear we will have no deal today.

Raston smiles a bit sadly.
"I deducted that early on from our conversation miss.
This is not a blade you can find at every shop on the Coast.
So naturally it costs a certain amount of gold.
I wish you good day though and thank you for showing an interest in one of my items."

A pity, in fact. But these things happens. She shrugs. I hope you make good deals today sir. She slightly bows the head. Have a nice day. The elf woman walks aways.
