I'm not sure which is worse. The itch or the pain from using bleach to kill it.

It's not a worm, but a fungal infection. You don't kill it with Bleach. >_>

I mean, bleach will kill it, it will just kill your cells with at a roughly equal rate. There isn't much bleach won't kill, honestly.

But yes, a topical antifungal will work better.

Bleach is a base. I suggest you try acids instead.

It wasn't my first idea. My instructors at the dojo where I got it suggested it. As did some others who got Ring.

Its not like im putting pure bleach on. I dilute it with water.

Telling ya, antifungal creams work WAAAAY better.

Between sparring and the military's... egh... lackluster desert-combat hygiene... I would know.

Antifungals and lots of goldbond to keep it dry. Moisture feeds fungi. Bleach works well for killing fungi on inorganic surfaces. It isn't great for us organic surfaces. I spend a ton of time fighting and have seen all sorts of bacterial staff infections as well as fungal issues. Make sure to wash your gi every class and wear a rash guard. That should be mandatory for all of the students. Add 1 cup of white vinegar when you wash your gear. It'll help get that perma sweat smell out and kill any residuals. If you can keep the area with ringworm exposed to the air as well as often as possible.

Well I netted myself some prescription strength antifungal and have been using that. I stopped using the bleach after one day; as suggested. Still I do note an improvement its going away.

Still Id much rather not get Ring.

Erm pretty sure what you have is athletes foot not ring worms. From what I am told ring worms infect a different area... which I will not be mentioning.
