YouTube has gone downhill

Anyone else notice how bad it has gotten? There is more advertising which you can't skip. They are removing advertising from some content and seem to be doubling down on the advertiser friendly stuff.
Meanwhile the comments section got obliterated by some overzealous designer. Everything shows up out of order and good luck replying.
Finally it won't buffer. No idea why. 1080 and 720 refuse to. Tried it on three desktops, a laptop, and a tablet on 4 different networks. As far as I can tell they are just being stingy with their bandwidth.

The whole internet has gone down hill. Something that could change society and expand knowledge to the whole world by easy access has become a den of trolls just trying to cause a stir. I think its because the safety and ability to avoid consequences, such as a good punch in the face and a kick and stomp attack to the groin, allows people to say things they wouldn't say normally.
Would you say half of what you see in comment sections to someone face to face? I know if anyone said those things to me, I'd give them a black eye without any care of who they are.

Yes, people say the same things as in the comment section. Especially when in a crowd or on the train/bus. The amount of times I hear groups of 4 loudly diss people on the train is astonishingly high. You don't want to get charged for assault/battery.
People also stop at crossroads to yell at LGBT people and those with disabilities (my sister injured her back so she couldn't walk with a straight back. Some jeep driving idiot made sure to stop and call her quasimodo) in Hungary from their jeeps before driving away, laughing as if they did the most hilarious thing in the world.

The demonetization is only toward videos that don't meet a standard of expectation. I don't want my services world reknown because it was on a viral video of bigotry and race baiting, why should I as a company seeking to put an advertisement out, pay for that association?

You are in control of your own emotions and what you find on the internet. Causing harm upon someone over words is a declaration of one's incapacity of self control.

The censorship of the Internet against free speech has come to utube.

Boogie got a video demonitized because he was talking about medications he takes for pain/depression. Meanwhile music videos on VEVO use a plethora of swearwords and occasionally advocate violence (typically in artistic style, not so genuine) yet retain advertising.
At any rate I just want my videos to buffer

VEVO and Leafy's content was two main points the advertisers brought to the table, but VEVO is Sony and Universal put together, who has some lobbying going on to keep their videos untouched.
I don't think Youtube will budge too far, as those two companies are larger than Youtube itself and could easily rival with yet another streaming service.
Just as many other internet businesses, this one was a bubble no one should've tried to make a living out of. (Looking at you, REACT brothers).

I use Adblock.
I have a good computer, and a good internet.
I never have commercials on youtube, and I don't have the 'buffer' thing you talk about, I click it and it plays, it never stops unless I press pause.
So I don't know, for me, youtube is doing pretty great. Maybe it's a system thing on your side, or your internet provider or something.
I'm in canada, no clues if this affect things.

Canadians don't buy stuff. Pointless to show them ads.
I'm kidding! I love canadians. Especially that Passiflora one.

For the record Canadians buy all sorts of stuff. They buy maple syrup. They buy hockey sticks. They buy moose tracks ice cream. They buy things with French on the label. They buy snow shovels. Most importantly they buy me a beer when I visit. *nod nod nod*

The whole internet has gone down hill.
Hell, you can see it as a reflection of society.
