Hearing rumors of vandalism that had beset the petition to unban Terri and Vendor from the Gate, Lady Netanya, the newly appointed Administrator of Phoenix Company, would have an alternative petition created on the property of the Phoenix Company Lodge. The petition would be situated in the front garden of the lodge under the protection of at least one Phoenix Company Guard at all times to dissuade vandalism and improper tampering.

Those who would pass by the lodge along the Tradeway would notice a sign just off the road in front of the lodge directing interested passersby’s to sign the petition. The petition would be re-worded as follows:

Terri Lalani and Vendor Xon risked their lives to protect Baulder’s Gate and evidence as emerged that the true culprits were Mindflayers seeking to corrupt the Duke and control the city. On behalf of Phoenix Company and the signatories of this petition we appeal to the Dukes to reverse their decision and unban these individuals from the Gate given the evidence presented clearly exonerates them.

As the knight of the Silver Rose, Mayra Dooran spends some time every day to guard the Lodge from further attacks she would gladly sign the petition.

Mariko scribes her name to the growing petition, then takes an observation position a short distance away, watching the approaches to the Lodge with a veteran eye.

"Terri and Vendor have on many occasions served the Gate, the Dukes and the better causes of the coast that has sheltered them. Vendor himself is a member of the Pathfinders, the Elder Circle, the Whistling Wanderess Crew, and his own company, The Foresters of the Gate. Terri and her Phoenix Company have watched and safeguarded knowledge that has been instrumental in important decisions along the coast, including reports brought directly to the War Council during the impending attacks of the Undead army nearly a year ago.

I served beside them on that War Council, know their hearts have ever been true to the defense of the Gate and her people. They fought in the war that followed, protecting the good people of Baldur's Gate along with many others who travel along this road and seek to make our shoreline a safe place to live. The hin Belladonna once stood before the Dukes surrounded by many of the clans, and guilds, I was there. She protested loudly that she was going to poison the water supply, kill everyone, with the weapon she was known to have possession of. She was escorted out of the city, freed regardless of her words, knowing full well she had a weapon left in the hands of one of her friends. Her punishment, banishment from the city.

Terri and Vendor were confronted with a dragon who intended the destruction of the gate unless it's terms were met. In light of such knowledge attempted to do the lesser of two evils, because they care more about the citizens of the gate than a Red Wizard who stole something that belonged to the dragon. For this, they are treated the same as someone who whole heartedly intended for the destruction of every man, woman and child.. simply because the hin wanted enough coin to buy a ship.

This is an injustice, The Dukes are of strong character and are doing what they feel is right, but risk alienating the very folks who follow in loyalty to the cause of the Ducal lands. For all their good deeds, one error should not be their undoing. Please sign this petition so the Dukes know we stand behind one another, yet remain loyal to them. The peaceable, responsible solution. We don't all see eye to eye, but we all know were it us, we'd want another chance to prove our loyalties."

After a long day of preaching the good word of Lathander Ildar notices a sign off the side road. Seeing that he could help his friends in this way he puts down his banner and immediately goes to sign the petition. After that, he continued on the path to Beregost trying to convert people on the way.

Alcarin signs the petition during her very brief visit to the Lodge.
