Telthor Companio - able to change name or type?

Is there a way to change the name of the telthor companion?

Are there any companions available besides the spirit wolf?

Sorry for the questions. I decided to go a bit outside of my comfort zone and make a spirit shaman. I am paying for this lack of knowledge, haha!
