A young bard is seen outside the Friendly Arm sitting on a tree stump beside a small tent full of goods. He strums his lute and plays a few tunes, occasionally singing everything from soft, haunting melodies to loud, bawdy tavern songs, depending what mood strikes him. On a signpost in front of the tent is listed many items which he has for sale or trade, so long as the item or gold is deemed a worthy offer.

Hazel Jynx happily walks toward the Friendly Arms Inn. Just before entering she hears the music being played and gets distracted by the sounds of it.

You sure have a lot of pretty things there mister, ow wow those shoes would go perfect for the party next week!
Hazel looks almost mesmerised while staring at the A Mad Gent's Boots.
Can I borrow those for the party or I can pay as well. I have 6 bags of gold for you mister.
Where did you find them? I find things sometimes as well.
Is it not heavy carrying it all the way over here or did someone help you mister?

Chord smirks down at Hazel as his strumming stops and gives her a small bow
"Well met, my inquisitive little friend, I am terribly sorry, but those boots cost me quite dearly and I simply couldn't let them go for such a pittance, though if your need is in curse removal I do believe scrolls are available up in Baldur's Gate. If you are interested in the boots, what say you to 20 bags, hmmm, help me pay the good stable hands and other laborers that assisted me in transporting all these goods!"
He would then go about tuning his lute while glancing back to Hazel, awaiting her response.

Oh I would have loved to pay you that mister, especially if it would make you happy.
I'ts just that I have 10 bags and I thought if I offered 6 then I would still have 4 of them.
Maybe I will find enough bags some day though.
Still thank you for considering it, I think you are a very nice person to be selling these things to people. Bet it will make them all very happy.

A new helmet is added to the large inventory, this one quite highly enchangted.

A half elf clad in darkened mithril plate approaches the stall. He exchanges pleasantries for a while before beginning to examine the extensive wares. After about thirty minutes or so, he looks up and smiles to the merchant. "Mystra's blessing to you this day, good sir. This helm, would you accept sixty bags for it?"

After all, even without the improvement to deflecting blows the increased foresight and acumen alone makes the helm worth such a price. What say you to 75 bags and we'll have a deal?"

I've seen a couple of others about, but generally the merchants will only accept equivalent or better goods in return, and will sell the item at no price in gold.
