Upperdark Area Issues

Please post all bugs to do with walkmesh, transitions and other area related issues regarding the new Upperdark maps here.
The boat in Upperdark: Kro's Labrynth is unclickable. I think it might need to be moved closer to the shoreline, assuming its the same one that used to take players to the Ogrann Ruins.

Ty, Tsid. The transition from Kro's Labyrinth to Oghrann has been tweaked and submitted.
If anyone finds any walkmesh or floating placeable issues, I will erect a statue in their honor...I just won't save

. Note: The deep chasm tileset can be kind of wonky.

I don't want to derail the thread.. But is it possible to give the merchants something besides generic starting gear?

The current base build is currently just the base build. Players have been asking for boss mobs, epic areas and items. All that stuff will get added in time. Would like to fine tune the areas first before making too many big additions.

Not really an issue but a question. Is the svirfneblin village something from lore or server specific? I want to do some research for my own svirfneblin. I havent been to it yet but if anyone could give some insight that would be appreciated!

Rockrun is entirely custom built. Though you won't find any lore outside of BG, the Svirfneblin in game will tell you their story. Either way, lore will be posted soon.

Yes, a lot of svirfs there have a "movie" dialogue, and tell you a lot of things about the place, facilities, what they do, etc. Run around, check them out, I think there are at least dozen of chatty npcs with multi-choice dialogues. Might've missed a few, though.

Some the upperdark areas do not recognize the light spell or light items and cause PCs to fall and stumble in the darkness randomly Rockrun comes to mind.

So, first off. WOW

. Rockrun is such a great area and much needed in the UD! Thank you Cubicle and everyone else involved. Im thankful for a secondary point in the UD to "spring off of". I especially like the scattering of earth elementals throughout the village. Gives it such a great feel

It really has ample RP support foundations in place for all classes one could want to do with svirfneblin , whether fighter, mage or divine type.
Poor, poor Duergar. Icing on the cake was the dialogue of one of the prisoners. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but the dialogie caught me off guard and literally made me laugh out loud. Kudo's to the builders!
A couple of suggestions, nothing earth shattering, but:
1) Once inside Rockrun Village, is it possible for it to have a map of the village? Granted, its pretty straightforward path but using the game map just shows a blackened area.
2) Some of the dialogue with the NPCs kick you out of the dialogue once you finish a topic. It would be nice to have a "Back" option.
3) Agree with Akroma's suggestion. It would make sense to have a gem merchant as well. Maybe take the one from Sshamath? I vote for the next epic merchant to arrive IG be a svirfneblin smith!
4) Would be nice to have a home location widget, if possible.

3. Gem merchants are in Sshamath and Runner's Pass (recently added). Fizzlestones now has an Auction House as well. The Tunnelrunner has an above average armor/weapon shop.
4. Rockrun can now be accessed by Underdark players from the Nexus.

1 & 2 aren't necessarily game breaking. I'll probably end up tweaking those later down the road.

Thanks for the updates and feedback. I admit, my suggestions were pretty minor

In regards to the auction house, I could sell and buy, but could not examine anything. Not sure if that was intentional or not? Also, Fizzlebang eludes to more "rare" goods but I havent the slightest clue on how to access it. If anyone has any tips for that, Im all ears!

I submitted a fix for the Rockrun Auction House.
Fizzlestone is hinting towards illicit merchandise, not necessarily 'rare' items. Most of the Svirfneblin show character to distinguish themselves, for RP purposes. Fizzlestone is shady when it comes to business. He doesn't actually offer any 'rare/illicit' items. After his dialogue, you will have to RP the rest, just like with the Salt Shop.

Gotcha. Well done on the dialogues by the way. I find myself often going through them twice over for the laughs
