Archmage SLA

Hi,

I've got a few questions about this:
  1. Is the DC of the SLA the same as the DC would be if the spell were cast normally.
  2. If I choose a 9th level spell as the SLA, does that mean I sacrifice a spell slot, then get to use the SLA twice and thus have one extra spell to use in total?
  3. Are there any other differences between normal spells and SLA's a caster should be aware of?
Thanks in advance!

1. No the DC is not calculated the same. SLAs have lower DC
2. Yes. For example, if your lvl9 spell selection is Wail, Mords and Sanctuary, if you choose Shadow simulacrum as an SLA, this means that you lose one spell slot but you have 2 nore castings of Shadow Simulacrum. Its like have 4 lvl9 spells.
3. SLAs have a bit faster casting time and cannot be interupted.
