I think it would be great to remove "fiendish skin" effect from summoning spells.
It is incredibly ugly, makes every monster look like they were roasted alive (anyone remembers Silent Hill Dogs?) and ruins some of the nicer summon models that are fiendish by default (like Erinyes). It would've been suitable if those were Alienist pseudonatural summons, but for Devils/Fiendish creatures it is a definite overkill.
I think that to indicate "fiendishness" it would be enough to just add red eyes effect (which is used already).
At the very least it would've been great to exclude already fiendish creatures and devils from the effect.
Remove fiendish skin effect from summoning spells.

Some people might like the effect?
You could add a variable in the player options menu which turns it off. Its even possible to specify the skin per summon that way. I think that's the best option(?).

More options is a win win.

Uh, have you seen what erinyes looks like under it? It is definitely not an improvement from original.Rasael wrote:Some people might like the effect?

Aside from fiendish rat/wolf clearly signaling to anybody in vicinity "kill me, I'm evil", some creatures definitely shouldn't have the effect applied to them.
If anything, the effect is overkill and would be more fitting for alienist summons.
Not sure about that, honestly I just don't want devil/demon models to be ruined by this vfx. It feels out of place. And I think a rat/wolf with glowing red eyes would look much cooler.Rasael wrote: You could add a variable in the player options menu which turns it off. No issues with a toggle but this skin seems to remove details of models and make them look like big blotches.
Can we please have a way to restore the better detailed models?
