Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I just reinstalled NWN2 on my iMac, but on a Windows 10 partition. My monitor's display setting is 5120x2880. But when I set it to that screen size through the NWN2>>Options>>Graphics menu, the display remains full-screen but all the buttons appear incredibly small. Can one of you tech gurus please help steer me right?

Every time I upped Rez it would also shrink my icons as well. I'd love to know a way around that as well.

I know what you're going through. My display is 4K resolution and I had to set to full screen and drop my resolution to 1920x1080 to make it readable.And you HAVE to run full-screen and not windowed, otherwise you get a very small window.

Unfortunately, NWN2 is just not made to run in very high resolutions. There IS a HD UI overhaul that works wonderfully offline, but is overridden by the PW settings.

Documents/ Neverwinter Nights 2/ nwn2.ini

Manually change the settings for x and y:

[Display Options]
Width: x
Height: y

See if this makes a difference for you.

You will need to use overrides to fix other things like text and the GUI. Some overrides aught to work as client settings are independent of the server.

I'm speaking from experience on multiple servers: Some GUI settings (IE PC Tools, Auction House, etc.) are in the server files, so local overrides won't work on them. You'll end up with text that's too large or otherwise doesn't fit, so stuff will start disappearing (dice rolls and emotes in the PC Tools menu are especially problematic)

Thanks, all. I just reverted to 2560x1440 and the game looks fine. Sure would be nice if someone comes up with a way to take advantage of the 4K resolution, but for now I'm just happy to have NWN2 working again on my new machine.

Like I said, there ARE HD UI mods out there, but if the server files define anything in the UI (as is the case with PC Tools) it won't work properly, and elements will get overridden.
