I cant belive that i have found more then two epic item from a chest in my long time here and that is 6 or 7 years now and that was in Durlags tower and the frost giants castle and i have see one find a epic boots and all those items i have see that is 3 has been on 2 epic areas and when i say epic item it is written on the item Epic i belive you can only find those item on Epic areas so if you afraid you will epic item on low level areas i think youre dead wrong there

Well, I have found 3 Epic named item in 6 years, along with countless numbers of empty spirit bottles. All found in high end areas.

However, I have found 4 mithril armor suits in cr1-3 areas, a chain shirt was a 2HD goblin drop.

Some have more luck then others, lets live with it.

ONce when I first got here I found a greater minotaur axe on the grey ooze under the well in BG.....had +3 EB 2d8 Critical damage and one other enchantment maybe? So I do not think the run there will be that bad. As far as a EPIC item. I have never found one. Not one in a chest or on a RIG boss drop. It sucks yes. Do I agree with the system completely? Probably not but hey they at least lowered those spirit bottles now....spoons and things as well. I will take that first and see how it goes. I am so tired of farming frost kings. I would much prefer to spend a couple of hours running the dungeons even if they are low level making friends and RPing while looting.

That is a good question. I am guessing your best chance at a truly unique and epic item is the RIG which is on Boss encounters here. I would say that the lowest level easiest to beat boss that may drop those items would be Wromthrax in Serpent hills(It used to be the dragon in durlags but durlags is way different now). The Yuanti queen. Frost Giant King. Any boss that gives 2500 gold or so and a RIG drop. Their respective dungeons have what would be considered EPIC TIER chests and have a certain loot list that has what would be EPIC items that are not RIG items as well. So there you go. Have an epic toon that can loot epic chests. So basically the server loot chests are already put into tiers for the levels. With level restriction removed it may be a good idea to put a epic chest in each dungeon but that takes dev time and they are still working overtime on the last few bugs, server area face lifts and new content areas.

What do you qualify as epic loot? Only by having the word in the items name?

The most "epic" items I have seen did not have that word in their name. Regardless, ive found a few over the years, ranging from Durlags (old and new), the Frost Keep, Gnoll Caves and even some of those remains that are laying around the troll claws.

Found three mithral FPs over the years, only one of which was in "epic" leveled zones.

Anything that say Epic on the item is Epic not boots ac4 and tell where you found you item which area and remember a mithral FP is not Epic if it not have a the Word Epic, Epic give lots of Special Properties remember there super rare but it is not the same as epic on the item you found it if you add the word Epic on it for think to sell it forgt it we can see if is fake

I once looted epic fighter combat boots in the lions way gnoll cave... I would say your "best chance" at epic loot is looting as many chests as possible. Sure some chest have a higher probability, but more chests/loot drops= more chance at a good item.

In fact it is not. Also just having epic in the name does not constitute and Epic item. Epic Hospitaliers armor is not Epic. Or at least it was not before. With the new armor tweaks making things like banded mail more useful it may be considered that. However it is my understanding that epic means a item with +4 Stat for its EB/AB and multiple other +4 to skills and the possible +4 to a Base Stat....though really really really really really really rare. Most epic items are +4 DODGE with +3 Stat with +4 to two skills. That would be considered Epic. The Epic shop actually has epic items but not all of them are epic. Just should be hard to obtain so they are there in the hell shop.

well i think there is way a tabel for epic stuff it say epic on item is add to a epic area that mean so the tabel work that way

Cant you craft epic items via enchanting spells by now? level 9 spell for 20 slots. +4 = 10 slots.

well for all my years ive only found 2 items named Epic 1 kukri and 1 sickle pretty good things found it in the gnoll Cave and troll cave outside of friendly arms inn, rest of my items are bought. But that was 2-3 years back or so. Last year my luck have been terrible lol
