Don't see many of the Orcs logged on from the Damwun, and by many, I mean, none of them.

Having a blast.
We're 9 active Thayans, waiting for DMs to reply

Debateable I guess is the best word I could use to describe it.

Been away with RL stuff moving and wahthaveyou's so I can't really comment. Also with the DDOS attacks the RP got rather stale there for a while.

Well, I have been logging these last weeks with my Damwun orc from time to time. But yes, sadly not many orcs nowadays

Would it help if Evil Minded PCs had a common ground "hang out" place, in order to not be chasing or missing individuals around the Server? Or is that far to OOC for the majority of Evil Minded Characters?
Or, would it help if there was a private guild-like forum that ACTED like an evil-minded grapevine of news and rumors (requiring a written submission/proof that would justify your Characters membership) to generate cross-faction/guild RP in a semi-public manner?
Would it help if there were some "evil aspect" RP storylines coming out of the 1352 Campaign, that Characters could RP with/towards?
Or has it become every person for themselves (and I mean this as an unintentional but resulting paradigm)?

In an ideal scenario each evil faction would be a power in its own right, however the reality is that evil players (I mean, actually evil, not just evil because I want blackguard or assassin in my build) are only a tiny minority of the server.
It would make sense that 'team evil' was able to collaborate more, be this Zhents, Thay, Drow, Cult of the dragon etc.
And remember villainous plots don't have to be world ending - more modest gains can take place without ever involving or coming into conflict with other players & in turn lead to more events / engagement further down the line.

Come to the Thayan Enclave. We don't judge.

It is a welcoming gesture. However, as you know, there are many that cannot enter Baldur's Gate based on either affiliation, race or both.

In the UD event last night a player actually betrayed the group and teamed up with the villian of the UD - it was very awesome RP, and I always encourage it.
This thing has been brought up several times before with characters like Zeno and Kagger trying to fill the role of villian. The problem is the conflict it generates with 'good' toons (which make up a good chunk of the server)
Evil RP is something I want to work with, as I believe it will bring forward with it new, exciting and very dynamic RP; but it will have to be done carefully. Over the next few weeks I do plan to work with several evil guilds and plan to pool together goals and motives, hopefully spawning a decent, but fair plot.

All of this.
I think it's because we're unable to work together IC, and when we do it becomes a fight for power, which often ends in OOC issues. That combined with no real big plot to follow (as far as I know), we kind of just roll with the events we can get both player-events and DM-events.
It also becomes an issue when we're known for doing "questonable" or "evil" jobs, which usually tends to exclude us from all work/events that comes for/from the majority of the good-neutral factions. If we accept "questionable" or "evil" jobs, naturally some won't be willing to work with us, and it kinda makes sense.
If the evil factions were able to form an alliance, and work towards a combined goal, I think more would be willing to join in.

Personally I liked doing the "evil" side of the war with Amn with the Hellstorm, doing guild events to promote the amnish cause.
Good guilds afaik all on the side of Baldur's Gate, doing the opposite.
However, if I have understood things right about the Triel campaign a few years back the same kind of view on the campaign did not become a success in the eyes of either side.
Perhaps we can try something similar again?

Dialectic's use of the Roaringshore Captains was an attempt at an "alternate Court" to balance out Ducal Court -type / Flaming Fist quests and Storylines.
Would be cool if say Larloch held a court to get "things done" by and through PC minions.
Anyway, that is more DM related options. I'm still more interested in what Players can develop in order to bring more stability to actual interaction that generates storylines from out Player initiative.
