Deity: Lathander, was raised by believing parents, though
she isn’t extremely religious
Profession: Trained fighter. Currently Captain of the Relentless Storm,
working with the Relentless Guard and the White Mask Theater.

Habits/Hobbies: She enjoys making new friends and laughs a
lot. She is extremely forgetful and gets lost all the time.
She is constantly asking which way to travel (with the exception of BG
city where she grew up). She has taken up the lute and is currently
practicing her skills on and off the stage. She has learned a
gypsy sword dance to help in combat.

Vala has bought a ship antd is currently looking for job opportunities.

wishes to start learning Dwarven.

Background:
Vala Reyer was born and raised as an only daughter in Baldurs Gate
by her mother and father. Her father is a bodyguard for a traveling
caravan and her mother works in a clinic as a healer of sorts
focusing on caring for and bandaging cuts and wounds.
Her father raised her teaching her how to defend herself and to fight.

When he couldn’t teach her more, she went to Waterdeep to take a
fighter’s apprenticeship. She got into a relationship while she was up
there with a fellow apprentice Leo. He proposed to her but
wanted to keep it quiet until the timing was right. She was with him
for 6 years when one day he disappeared without a note or any sign
of struggle.

After a year of waiting and searching for Leo, she decided to return
to Baldurs Gate. Upon arrival in Baldurs Gate she immediately got
swept up in all the new faces and people.

She fell all too quickly for a man that got her interested in performing
and, although it ended, resulted in the mending of her heart after Leo.
She joined in the battle against the trolls and gets re-inspired to pick
up her fighting studies so she could make a bigger difference in battle
and better protect those she loves. She is constantly learning new
fighting tactics and upgrading her fighting gear.

The Reyer Clinic is something Susanne Reyer created after finishing her studies as a healer. While studying she worked in the Ilmater temple but soon came to realize that there was a large population of the gate that wasn't seeking the help they needed. Susanne worked on her free days seeking those people out. She offered as much help as she could but didn’t feel like it was making enough of a difference. She began inviting them into her home. Eventually Susanne and Jon moved out of their house, turning it into The Reyer Clinic.

Susanne works eight days out of the ten-day (though two of those days are half days). One day, the 4th day, Susanne opens the clinic to the people of the gate to offer free treatment or advice. If Susanne couldn’t help she would make sure they knew who else they could turn to.

Vala worked at her mother’s side in the clinic and trained under her until the age of 16 when she chose a different career path. As Vala’s mother became increasingly ill, Vala eventually took over the clinic for her until her mother was able to return to work. Now the clinic is once again run by Susanne with help from her daughter as the flow of patients requires it.
