Re: Suggestion: x99 Stacks for Consumables and Any/All Items
I would love to see 0.0 items all be 99 stackable.
This would mostly be just gem's and some odd ball DM stuff (i like to hand out) and having a stack of more then 10 would be wonderful.
I am not the biggest fan of Scrolls, Potions and Medical Kits going above ten. I get the idea that inventory is premium, but where are you putting 99 potions of bark skin on you? I do not like compromising on this. I understand the mechanical benefit, and the grinding benefit for some players. More inventory space means you can loot longer before going back to town. However we do play by our sheets, and have some sort of idea of physical load limits thus why we have limited inventory space and weight allowances. For this reason im against anything with a weight even 0.1 items going above 10. Space, should be an issue.
This is my opinion and not reflective of the team as a whole.

Re: Suggestion: x99 Stacks for Consumables and Any/All Items
Within the game, I think it's only fair to completely throw out reality, even relativity. I have a toon that can carry 6 plate mails and 5 weapons without breaking a sweat...where do you think he is stashing all that gear while still battling mobs?!?but where are you putting 99 potions of bark skin on you?
We have already reduced so many items to have zero weight, or practically so, that it's time to decide whether encumbrance should really matter, on a RP server. And finite limits, such that they increase or decrease the possibility for either smoother, realistic or not, RP.
And, we have Persistent Storage, or, has that become inconvenient for players to use?
Yes, more inventory slots available would make this game just more enjoyable, so if the OOC motivation is to create some OOC help, that's cool. But in general, Inventory itself is way off from PnP perspective.

I see no problem with this change. In fact I think that we should take it a step further and increase ammo stacks to something like 500 or 1000.
Try playing a shuriken-throwing monk some time. You'll burn through a stack of 50 shurikens in 5 rounds of combat.

have to agree with hera on this one.
just because something is absurd, doesnt mean we should just keeping making it more absurd.Steve wrote: Within the game, I think it's only fair to completely throw out reality, even relativity. Yes, isn't it silly enough already ?
I understand the need for shurikens or thrown ammunitions in general but otherwise not so much.

Re: Suggestion: x99 Stacks for Consumables and Any/All Items
For me when I look at these things.
Does it improve roleplay or not?
I like that in groups suddenly the mage or thief comes over to one of the big boys and drops a full plate mail in front of them for the big boy to carry since the little guy just cant or the skinny weak mage.
In regards to stacking. Maybe small items should be? But things like healing kits are not small items, take up a bit of size, doubt anyone would be carrying 99 of them unless a half ogre or orc.
A little realism never hurt, but is a tough one to draw the line
(Not for or against personally)

I love the idea of making ammunition stacking in higher amounts. Other servers have this option and its very nice.Endelyon wrote:I see no problem with this change. In fact I think that we should take it a step further and increase ammo stacks to something like 500 or 1000.

And gems! gems... *greedy greedy greedy* gems!
Considering they are smaller than ammo and meant to be carried in big stacks rp wise. As realistically characters are not carrying 500,000 gold coins but instead a sack of gems equal to that which are then exchanged in cities for a fee that becomes spending coin in town.

Yes! Gems! I have a character that saves every gem that she was given, and carries them with her because they are used in RP
