Out of Character Introduction
A little something I had in mind for a while and figured I'd get started while Aska sleeps. Solus is back (for those of you that remember him) and he's brought his frying pan. That means it's time to get cooking with mouth watering role play that will have your stomach's grumbling. This topic is to introduce his new mobile kitchen and forum role play. As there is no official cooking skill on the server, this is all for fun. Much like the storage services, you don't have to actually pay any gold for the food you get. (Though I certainly won't stop you if you feel so inclined to do so as others have done.)
And to DMs, Solus is intentionally setting up his shop outside of the Friendly Arm Inn without asking. He's going by the logic that he doesn't have to ask so long as he's outside the inn like the other merchants/adventurers selling weapons and enchantments. But if Bentley has some problem with it, feel free to run him off or what have you.
Getting Started

A man has been wandering around the Friendly Arm Inn lately. He's easy to recognize thanks to the mirror like orbs that apparently serve as his eyes. They make it hard to tell exactly what he's looking at, but he seemed to be surveying the area along the road as he took note of the various wagons and carts.
Satisfied with a certain spot, he begun to set up a tent with the aid of a kind stranger and at first looked like many of the other street peddlers. But then he starts a fire and sets up a spit over it. Then comes a counter with various baskets and draws filled with knives and utensils and a bowl of fresh fruit set up on the corner. Then a table with cutting boards and various knives. In moment, he has two skinned coneys roasting over a spit and the area fills with the pleasant aroma of cooked meat and spices.
To finish off, he plops down a sign that reads as follows:
Welcome to the Fiery Kitchen
I'm happy to offer my services as a chef to any hungry traveler.
I carry a limited stock for common meals with plenty of spice for unique flavor.
I'm also willing to cook anything you bring to me.
Caught a stag in the forest? Bring it to me and I'll fix up your venison right with all the dressings.
Ever wonder what roasted wyvern tastes like? Bring it to me and I'll fix it up best as I'm able.
Whatever you desire, if you're willing to risk it, I'm willing to roast it!
Day 1

Adventurers were in for a treat today as they came upon the Friend Arm Inn. Seems the favored meal of the day was roasted coney (rabbit) and diced potatoes, seasoned with basil and oregano, and topped with a coating of sweet honey. The sweet yet tart apples in the fruit basket were perfect for wetting your appetite or cleanse the palate between meals.
Today also marked the very first exotic experiment. Roasted frost giant flesh seasoned with chili and cayenne pepper with a dash of ground peppercorn. Seems an adventurer was upset after all the trouble they gave him in the mountains and wanted to have a go at eating them for once.
Solus was a bit dubious at first as it almost struck him as cannibalistic, but fair is fair and many an adventurer have met a cruel fate the other way around. Taking care to roast the tender flesh over the spit with its natural weakness to fire and seasoning it like any other meat, he proudly presented it to the adventurer and even had a taste with him. The meal proved to be surprisingly satisfying as the flesh was tender to the tongue yet thoroughly absorbed the spicy seasonings. Solus commented that he would enjoy further experimentation with frost giant.
Another adventurer also took an interest in Solus's services as he wolfed down a dish of coney and potatoes before Solus even had a chance to properly cut the meat and veggies for serving. Seems like he's willing to bring back exotic meats for others to try after Solus educates him on the proper way to cut the raw meat from the bone. Solus was clearly interested though warned him about the dangers of gleaning meat from poisonous beasts.
