Elven Barbarian
Hey guys,
As I understand, Barbarian changes are in? I haven't been playing for awhile so just checking. If so, I would like to make an elven barbarian, it was a long time wish of mine to make a worthwile elven melee character, and I feel I can have a real go now.
First, can someone clarify what new stuff do Barbarians get? I heard they get access to Evasion, but this was not planned, correct? If they do get Evasion, is it a full time feat which opens up access for Expose Weakness??
And last, any good build ideas? I was thinking either full Barbarian, or Barbarian 30/10 AK.

If you are looking for an elf subrace that does have barbarian more commonly chosen, it would be a wild elf.

Barb20/AK10 is solid. As is Barb20/DC6/AK4
Finish with 21 CON and an even STR score, 21+ which qualifies you for epic DR and epic Rage. Don't think that there is much else to the barbarian class.

I'm not sure that DC 6/AK 4 is better than full 10 levels of AK. For me it is either 20/10 or Barbarian 30. Another thing to consider is wether to go with Wild Elf and go for 21 CON for EDR, or with Wood Elf and pure Strength. The Whistler wrote:Barb20/AK10 is solid. As is Barb20/DC6/AK4

Re: Elven Barbarian
DC6 alone bumps your fort by 4, need I say more ? It grants access to the same amount of epic feats as the AK, albeit a more limited selection. The only thing you really miss out on is the improved darkling weapon (idk what the AK version is called).
Not taking the 9 DR feats is a waste imho, especially if you're going 30 barb. The DR is not bypassable by any special weapon properties, making you pretty tanky when combined with a high AC from whirlwind frenzy.

It does it to reflex as well, which is more important because it is very low.The Whistler wrote:DC6 alone bumps your fort by 4, need I say more ?
Barb20 is the minimun. After that it whatever you like your build to have will work. Even Fighter10 will work in order to fit in Epic DR and Fast regen along with epic rage and EW

Re: Elven Barbarian
Speaking of Barbarians, I have a question regarding Extended Rage feats. I noticed that there is an amulet for sale by Northern Merchant in BG which grants Extra Rage and Extend Rage feats. I guess Extra Rage is clearly not stackable, but how about Extend Rage? Also, any other items which grant those feats, I wouldn't want to miss out on them if I wanted to make a Barbarian some day.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Elven Barbarian
Extend Rage from an item does not stack.
If you want more Extends, you have to take the feats successive on levelup.
