Monk: Perfect Self Dmg Red

So I'm thinking ahead and noticed this free feat at lvl20.
Perfect Self
The monk gains immunity to all mind-affecting spells and effects, and damage reduction 10/magic.
Doing a bit of reading to understand the 10/magic. It seems that it will only absorb 10dmg from non-enchanted weapons/animal attacks and natural weapons.
Just wondering... how much of the PvE on this server from 20 onwards, is actually unenchanted?
Does this make the dmg reduction component of this feat useless?
Hoping more experienced persons than I can help me answer this

it would be useless yes but the question to ask is if it was converted to 10/addy with the other /magic DRs that are otherwise useless as well

So was it converted to 10/Ad? Been exploring Kaze No Kama builds and other monkey builds for a Deep Gnome. Want to either go Monkey or Warlock with a Gnomey

10/Magic should provide DR against the base dmg of any weapon.

Kaze builds won't work really well on this server. They are highly dependent upon enchantments for damage and the relatively low magic items setting we run (while some would say it is still too high we don't have 4d8 elemental damage weapons either). With the prevalence of DR enemies Kaze would be really painful. Generally if you are going to build a Kama monk you need to aim for Sneak damage or some other consistent form of reliable damage.

idk i dont have a high level monk, other /magic DRs were changed to addy tho bc /magic is useless really quick

im sure it says 10/magic, everything still says its /magic even if it was changed to addy, but did you actually try it out?

It's 10/magic which means +3 or greater weapons will automatically penetrate the DR. It hasn't been changed. Even if someone wanted to, like most elements of monk it's hardcoded and can't be touched.

The feat could be replaced with a new feat. Mind spell Immunity is easily replicated.
So mechanical nothing would speak against it. Monks also miss Tongues spell and abundant step.

So if a weapon has any amount of EB bonus on it, ALL its damage passes? Even the base damage?

Essentially yes. If the weapon is "magical" (+1 or higher) it will break the DR.
