They do not go through the dr of stone body.

We shouldn't do this as Adamantine weapons were removed for that very reason. This would allow all kinds of exploits for fist builds that do not take 16 monk levels, such as Sacred Fists. As stated earlier, if you want adamantine fists, take more monk levels.Aeb Ankor wrote:If the intention was to make them Epic Gloves that offer Adamantine punching... just have them add the FEAT Ki Strike Adamantine. The same could work for lesser versions with Ki Magic and Ki Lawful.

Then why approve the faulty item months ago when the balance was looked at before the addition?!?chad878262 wrote:We shouldn't do this as Adamantine weapons were removed for that very reason. Just looked at the thread and adamantine weapons were discussed. It was decided they should be left out and have their own discussion later if we want to add them in. However, as BMD mentions an armor wouldn't apply adamantine against DR anyway so it's not a balance concern... Perhaps it was missed or left alone because they don't work anyway (but then, there I go making an assumption!) In any case it is not a balance concern since they are 'faulty' so it doesn't really fall under the purview of QC.Aeb Ankor wrote:Then why approve the faulty item months ago when the balance was looked at before the addition?!?
I'd say our noble admin summed it up pretty well here...Aeb Ankor wrote:Left this... right hand, no that...
Endelyon wrote:Right, as Blackman D and YMHM noted there is an issue with any glove-type weapon that prevents them being able to inherently bypass DR, so it's impossible to make these work properly in any case.
I'll remove the adamantine property on them in the next update so at least no one will accidentally buy them thinking they're better than they really are.
@ Kagger: If you want your money back for the gloves feel free to seek out a DM to pick them up for a refund (you can point them towards this post if they are unsure whether or not it's okay), or if you feel like keeping them for the sake of novelty that's fine too.
QC does not review or have any say in skins, hairs or other non-balance/testing related content. Further, we do not actually implement the updates and even when we advise dev/admin team against implementing something it is not our final call. When something goes in that causes any issue, even just confusion they will decide how to address, as Endelyon has done for Kagger.Aeb Ankor wrote:These things are looked at correct, and not just weeks spent on half-drow skin tone and hair rulings...
