How rich are you?

I'm watching some of the auctions on here and find myself amazed at some of the bids.
So, I wondered what the wealth brackets would look like on BGtSCC.

Here's a poll, just for fun. :)

Let's see, I owe a couple of people a bunch of gold, my salary still didn't come . . . where are the negative numbers!?

well it is not fun to get gold if you not buy a build (guild) but it is more fun to see what item you can dig out of the server means ( drop or chest)

There are a few players (not me) that have mastered the art of trading. They put up a bunch of epic quality stuff, but any time someone shows interest they always require a finders fee (kind of like a pawn shop, I suppose). Essentially if you have an epic item of roughly equal quality to the one they have which you want, they will require you to give them ~100-250K in addition to your epic item. Else they will sometimes require two or even three of your epic items in exchange for the one you want. Not sure how much this has changed since the epic stores went live, but they still have unique DM reward type epics, like an Assassins Finger ring with +4 INT instead of +2 or a Shortsword with +5 Hide/MS instead of +3. Nothing wrong with this style of play, in fact it's smart OOC and it is realistic IC. What merchant is ever going to be happy with an "even trade"?

I think Karond posted detailed instructions on how to be a trader and get tons of gold/epic items. It really didn't seem hard so much as time consuming and requiring a diligent player to continually be willing to be patient and not accept sub-par or even par trades, always get more than the other person really wants to give. I'll see if I can find it and post a link, but it may have been lost when we switched web addresses, not sure.

Do we count items or just on hand gold?

if i counted the worth of items, my vote would be considerably higher.

Found it! Really entertaining presentation in my opinion, definitely worth the time to read it, maybe even bookmark it. Enjoy:

I put down what I have on me on average. I use a lot of gold for events and many other things pretty consistently. Just the other day I dropped 200k+ on scrolls and healing pots.

3+ years later and I have under 200k total across all toons. lol.
I did donate 300k to the Song of the Morning for renovations, however.

Tsk, your salary would be paid if you came to work! Lazy merchant officer.
