Command/Bolster Undead for Evil Clerics
Could we get that, pretty puh-leeeeeeeeeeeeeease ? It has always irked me how on the server, and nwn2 in general the premier necromancers are arcanes. I want my own little army of undeath, damnit.

Re: Command/Bolster Undead for Evil Clerics
most know im a necromancer and while i would very much like a divine necro im pretty sure turn undead is hardcoded... so we are screwed
i suppose they might be able to make another feat for it and then have it scripted to remove normal turn undead but... yea...

Re: Command/Bolster Undead for Evil Clerics
Its possible. There was a player who offered it once for bgtscc and was rejected. It was imbalanced, so I unterstand why. But still.
Exactly. I think its worth it.i suppose they might be able to make another feat for it and then have it scripted to remove normal turn undead but... yea...

Abilities that use Turn Undead charges are not hard coded. For example, there are plenty of such in Kaedrin's pack.
As for Bolster and Control Undead, our friends at Sigil have both implemented.

It'd be really nice to see them here at BG.

Re: Command/Bolster Undead for Evil Clerics
at this time right now, how viable is a cleric based necromancer build. what could one do with a concept built around this? what feats/spells work to bring this concept to life?

Re: Command/Bolster Undead for Evil Clerics
The strength of command undead depends on the monsters on bgtscc and how its implemented. You can only command a single undead up to 1/2 your HD and you can have max 1 * your HD.Command Undead
A commanded undead creature is under the mental control of the evil cleric. The cleric must take a standard action to give mental orders to a commanded undead. At any one time, the cleric may command any number of undead whose total Hit Dice do not exceed his level. He may voluntarily relinquish command on any commanded undead creature or creatures in order to command new ones.
So you can have 2 level 15 skeletons. Doesnt sound like an issue to me.
Very viable. We have workshippers of Myrkul, Bhaal, Velsharoon and Kiaransalee. They would love to see their followers commanding undeads.at this time right now, how viable is a cleric based necromancer build. what could one do with a concept built around this? what feats/spells work to bring this concept to life?

Re: Command/Bolster Undead for Evil Clerics
i know that the additions to that class set would make it desirable, what i am wondering if it would just be too little to actually create a useful design if there is not much to build on. in my head i am building a cleric/BG and i do not know if there is enough to support a clerical necromancing dead riser build. if somebody has a build idea that would support that idea share. my thoughts are relative to the last part of the OP....Nachti wrote: Very viable. Re: Command/Bolster Undead for Evil Clerics
I suppose the easiest way to sponsor this would be to have palemaster class make you choose progression (arcana or divine).
Clerics, at least, now have the Army of Undead spell (short duration, true).
Wiz (sorc)5/pm10/divine classes15 ought to be fun even if it only reach CL27 with said change to palemaster class.
I am having a ball with a bard/palemaster myself as is (Rat catcher of Hamelin style).
For more practical practisioners of the religions mentioned above, why not go something like fighter10/fb5/wiz5/pm10 (CON-base it)?
Control Undead as a spell already exist ingame, it works.
That said, I find the thread rewarding please keep posting suggestions.

Re: Command/Bolster Undead for Evil Clerics
that sounds interesting but i do not think the server should have FvS20/PM10 build. nasty combo

Re: Command/Bolster Undead for Evil Clerics
While I'd kill for a cle/PM combo, that's not what the suggestion is about. It's about giving TU some extra utility for ebil clerics. Perhaps it could be a separate feat, or a mode you can selectively turn on and off.
FvS/PM locks you out of much more important stuff like EDM and EW if you wish to remain undispelable. FoM&Stone Body already achieve what PM offers without sacrificing anything

definitely not...Storm Munin wrote:I suppose the easiest way to sponsor this would be to have palemaster class make you choose progression (arcana or divine).
i already brought up the point sorta with MT, while a divine necro only needs cleric at some point if this goes in people will want true necromancer prc which is slightly stronger than MT
if its suppose to work like turn undead then the half level is only the control limit not the creature max, the damage dice would remain the creature max so if you have a cleric that can do over 50HD total damage you would be able to control up to 15HD undead x3 (45HD) and if you took feats to push your max over 60HD you would get x4 undead, but given you can not drag dominated creatures from outside their map, controlling them would be completely pointless since there would be nowhere you could actually do it when you needed toNachti wrote:The strength of command undead depends on the monsters on bgtscc and how its implemented. Re: Command/Bolster Undead for Evil Clerics
the way blackman describes it. this feat's perimeters seems to really limit its usefulness. first you would need to find the mobs that meet your need, then you would have to stay where you are. that makes this pretty much RP specific. 4x15HD undead would be formidable, but not an impassible wall of destruction. i cannot find a situation where this is useful on a regular basis. maybe he could hang out forever in the fields of dead.

VoD trash becomes a cakewalk. If you build for maximum turnage, so's the Dracolich. There's plenty of mechanical advantage here.
