Had this same issue annoying me. Found out was a USB 3 Hub. Used a software that worked perfectly. It is called USBDeview. Here is the link:

Like kid's now-a-day even know what that is ;) It makes me wonder though...

I hate to being this up, but it's partly on topic and I can save some cash if answered lol.
On the topic of USB ports, If anyone has had a Logitech headset using a USB connection that just quit on you, and not even registering as connected? I believe it might have something to do with the USB as if I connect to the two ports on the right side (normally on the single left port) it negates the 2nd of the two right side, even while the headset is still not registering :( To keep on topic could you PM me, if you had an answer. Thanks!!!
