+10000 You POrt then cast dimensional anchor preventing trace party from coming to your area because it is warded! WOOOT!

Trace would still tell you where they went mind you. I remember reading once in the novels Elminster teleporting several times in a row to very difficult places to shake someone following him. I am not sure the current status of the cooldown timer. Could also take a boat or wagon. Best counter is to keep moving though.

Yep, pretty well.

Was chased the other day during a conspiracy meeting, one caster teleport for us from the FAI to troll claws, once there we moved about 80m away, silent alarm, waited on someone to come through. Once they did, I teleported us back to the FAI, then warded the FAI from the pursuant's ability to make their way back to the immediate area.

I mean does the rune still gets marked from trace teleport or dimensional blocks it? Iam not talking about the actual telport. Just the trace.

That's working as designed. It should still do the trace.

I love hearing these stories. And I love that they are reminiscent of the books. Those were the primary inspiration.

I have one question regarding this. I had a fumble the other day, placing me back on the same map, which someone hidden traced. I don't know what kind of result they got, because assumably they got nothing icly.
