From the sketchbook- Fury's art

Most of what I have is truly from the sketchbook- just half-finished bits and pieces, because, well, I'm awful. The hope here is that showing some of this stuff will prompt me to be somewhat more diligent about completing things.

One I DID finish, of course, is the painting of Alexandra. Bless TarnishedSoul's heart for her patience, it took me about... six to nine months of life's ups and downs to complete. This was done entirely in Painter2015 (which I am hoping to upgrade soon, as the newer versions can now use photoshop brushes! Woo!)

Another finished, of my character Wren:

Another one that has been sitting on the "drawing table" forever is (of course) Maximillian Blackthorne. I started this nearly a year ago, and I've just looked at everything I did, detested it, and have stepped back to the base drawing to start repainting. Again, Painter2015 in action.

That art of Alexandra is amazing. The face of the shape and expression remind me of roman statues.

It's wonderfully medieval, great job.

And with amazing timing....

I finished a portrait of Wren.

That is pretty! One question. Everything in that picture is perfect almost flawless except the cup. Then the cup is center the focal point almost. Why?

Symbolism. The gold used to repair a broken thing has a meaning.

Oh right the Japanese art of repairing old things that are chipped and broken because it has character and meaning! Nice. ;)

I really like the water color look to the art. It makes things look really nice in my opinion.
