Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Just wondering if anyone else is playing this? It's like Ark but without all the goofy stuff. Looks like it could even be a good place for open RP as it has a pretty strict fantasy setting. I have a real casual server going as of today as well, info is here:

I do I love how politically incorrect and sexist that game is <3 a wave of refreshment to be honest and piece of good old fashioned fantasy.

I play with Gennedy (Kyotzen) and Darradrljod (Boris) on PvP/RP server with strict ruling putted on RP part.

I'm waiting. I rarely ever play anything immediately at launch and I never pre-order anything game wise. Its been my experience that things are almost always better this way. I'm looking forward to this though.

How is the RP? My server is anything goes and pretty casual right now nothing enforced. The game seems like it is made to be RP though with its strict fantasy setting.

RP is pretty well so far. Our group didn't got into fights or wars but its already happening in other places with other clans. RP rules are quite strict but they also leave a large field of freedom for people who don't really know the lore and what they know comes from this game or Swarzenegger films, but its quite allright since everybody know the basic premis.
Although server rules are being constantly adjusted.

I might play it too. I'm a bit unsure if the 'gaming aspect' of the game is fit for me.

I know I like games like 7days to die, but Ark left a sour taste for me. It was pretty bad to my taste.

I'll have to try it tho. Not too sure about the RP side, I might just try a plain server first. Unless it's voice-RP ingame like 7days perhaps... But typing, it's too slow.

Game itself is still in early access mode, means that alot of content and aspects of the game are still yet to come, but what they released so far is beyound expectations. OF course if you are not a fan of open world sandboxes then you won't find pleasure in it. However, developers really manged to give justice to the source material here, and you get that sweet vibe of classical, low magic(not yet implemented), dirty and somewheat primordial climate that Conan universe has.
Where I play, we use typing but there are servers that use mics, so you might try and find one out there. Also usually in case of such games, public an unregulated servers tend to be full of (person) who not only will kill and rob you at any given chance, but they will also find fun in destroying everything that you build. This was almost a factor that pushed me away from the game, but it was saved by private RP server

I tried to play on a PVE first. After reaching lvl 20, I can say very honestly that this game is -very- similar to Ark, to the point where I wonder if they didn't just copy the game and make new skins.

What I like better about Conan than ARK tho, is that seemingly you can't be 'riding' dragons and flying dinosaures, which I always found pretty weird.

The game looks good, combat isn't too hard to handle, the crafting/building is ark-ish (as in, it's not like 7days to die or minecraft, you can't terraform).

For RP, I joined a server on the RP list, which turned out to be friendy but not RP at all. Which I can understand, as the chat is general, local, guild and such. Not over your head. So personally, I tried to use the built-in microphone key to RP, which surprised people mostly.


I'll stick around on it for a while, but once I get to lvl 50, I wonder if there'll be enough to do on it to keep one interested.
