Final(ish) Build Help

Hey-ohhh!

Just wanted some opinions on a few things for this build. Thanks to Chad for helping me out! Ignore that skill point placement, will finalize that later.

http://nwn2db.com/build/?261483

1. Do I keep improved critical or drop for tower shield specialization in hopes that I find a keen weapon?

2. Epic Prowess, Epic Will or Armor skin?

3. I like the idea of Fast healing, thinking of dropping the 2 epc str for regen 2 and 4. Really bad idea, or maybe a sorta-somewhat-ok idea? If a bad idea, I'll retweak the creation stats for more int and skill points.

Ok, realized it was not public. Is it fixed now?

Yep, public now.

So : 12 DEX ? Might as well go 9 or 10 since it will use normal full plate unless you plan on not using any + DEX item. I'd drop DEX to 9 and pump CON to 20 from the start.

No epic heavy armor optimization, but you can pick armor skin for the same result.

Epic will can be dropped to pick fast heal, same for epic prowess. Ending up on 25 STR, getting all the DR feats and fast healing II can be done.

How important is Mithral Fullplate? I know it's a big deal, but is it crucial?

Mithral full plate gives you potentiall 11 armor, 8 from armor and up to 3 through DEX to AC. But that's if you have 16 DEX (with items) and mithral full plate doesn't work with heavy armor optimization.

Since you picked both normal and greater heavy armor optimization you're getting 8 (base) +1 (DEX to AC) +1 (heavy armor optimization) +1 (greater hevy armor optimiztion) = 11 AC, same as mithral full plate.

So, if I was thinking long term, I would build for medium armor and optimize that instead. Gotcha.

Edit: Err, my bad, forgot there's no med. opt.

Anointed Knight doesn't get bonus feats at 3+6 here.

I thought there was something screwy going on there. I would just drop combat expertise and improved power attack then.

Couple minor suggestions.

1. If you're getting UMD you can drop improved critical. Keen wands are generally very cheap. Even without umd there is an item you can buy that applies keen. Keen and improved crit don't stack. So I'd dip improved crit and keep IPA.
2. There's a fairly inexpensive epic item that gives +3 STR and CON so ending both on an odd number is a good idea.
3. Adding 3 levels of rogue, especially staying at level 1 gets you a lot at the cost of only 1 BAB...UMD and Spot as class skills, evasion with access to expose weakness and a bunch of skill points. If it doesn't fit your rp then disregard, but if there is no rp impact f12/AK10/DC4(or 5)/R3(or 4) will be better overall (though will lose a couple if your epic feats) evasion is a fantastic defensive feat, the skills are welcome and expose weakness is the best offensive feat in the game.

Nothing else major jumps out, you should do fine. #3 is strictly a power building deal and as I said, if it doesn't fit the rp then skip it with no worries.

You also won't get Sacred Flesh just so you are aware. Not sure how important that was to your build. Just found that out the hard way myself, in case you are not one to look up the classes on the BG wiki.

Ugh, well THAT throws a wrench into all my plans. Rogue would work fine with my RP. Thanks, now I gotta go back to the drawing board lol

Yeah, I knew about that, but thanks! Just trying to find that balance between solo survivability and offense while still staying as true to a pure warrior as I can. And I don't want to be a Dwarf ;)

Keen wands / items seem to run about +5,000 gold, for a number of uses I don't recall of the top of my head. Hint, search the BG harbor district.

Good luck finding a Longsword with a keen property in a shop. I can't remember if the hard to get to Epic shop has one... but I can vouch that the normal shops don't. I've only ever found two keen Longswords in random loot. I use them on my Divine Casters, because neither had any enhancement bonuses.

Frankly, I find that other then random loot items and the Beregost longswords... choices are kind of slim until you're swapping epic items with Karond or AC. Expect Mithral Fullplate to run you 650,000 gold, or an epic item trade of some kind. Most of the ones I've seen lack +4 AC, so you may need a +4 Bracer as well.
