Born in Zhentil Keep, His mother a partime illuminator for the Scribe Guide and a lady of night, Maluk didn't see his mother often during his life. Set to live in the squallors of zhentil keep, Maluk learned to live the streets, ran with the gangs of street children, stealing robbing whatever their mob could get their hands on.

When he reach his young teens, he lead one of the gangs until one day they targeted an Zhentarium officer was not wearing a symbol of his office. The officer slew a few of Maluk gang, then pressed the young bandit leader in the ranks of the zhentarium.

While part of the zhentarium Maluk, made go measures in the black network. His uncanny ability to hide in the darkness was noticed by a master assassin from Kara-tur. In the Darkness of the night, Maluk adjusted his Cloak Dipping deeper into the shadows. He thought to himself "why must they send me to this place". He studied his target from a distance
