Blood Magic as a Metamagic like feat

Okay, maybe a quality-of-life suggestion, but if not even possible, please dismiss this post by letting me know.
So, as it stands now, Blood Magic for Spirit Shaman must be toggled on, then your SS casts with the higher DC—and gets the Hit Point drain—then, you have to untoggle the Feat in order to go back to normal DCs.
The untoggling is a step that can waste quite a bit of time in a fire fight, which may well get your little dude killed dead.
So, would it be possible, and not totally OP, if Blood Magic worked like a metamagic feat, in that you could assign spells the Blood Magic bonus, which also gains you the HP drain, then slot those spells to the Hotbar, directly?

Put the toggle on a hotbar slot (eg the = keybind) and turn it on/off as you need it. I do this with Divine Spell Power so as to prevent Turn Burn

Yes, that is what I have done—though in JEGs it doesn't actually work atm.
What I'm saying though is: imagine that, instead of 2 clicks/keys (Blood Magic then a spell, both on hotbar), it would be just 1 click/key, of a spell already "set" with the Blood Magic boost (and negative).
Just like any other Metamagic spell.

You mean the Blood Magic part in general? Yes, it doesn't.
But could this idea work on the actual Server?

Yes it's doable, same for divine spell power, the otherside of the coin would be having to activate the feat each time you need it though so no casting two blood magic fueled spell in two rounds. What's better ?

No, and...yes.
As it is now, one toggles Blood Magic, then casts—it could be from the Quickcast, or a hotbar'd spell.
What I'm proposing is to add Blood Magic to the metamagic feats ON THE quickcast, so each spell with Blood Magic applied can be Hotbar'd, like Extend or Quicken, for example.

Oh that ! Can't see how but it may be possible, I think Ras discovered how to add metamagics, I've yet to take look at this.

You have to add it within:
metamagic.2da
feat.2da
and edit every spell to "GethasFeat(2017) then do ..." or if bgtscc uses spellhooks/general spell script you can do it there much easier.

But if you want to have it toggled you might have to add it to combatmodes.2da
