Damagebonus vs. dragons and fear immunity don't apply on login (and the icons are missing).

They apply only after a rest

But that is bad, with all the server crashes and Return to last location working now,
as it leaves you crippled.

Sorry, can't do much about it, it's tied to the no spellcasting as far as I understand.

How are feats considered a spell?

Feats that have active effects are tied to a spell, those spells are fired on login, except if the spells can't be fired :>
