Goblins and tracking
My lvl 2 char with 4 survival and no tracking feat can track goblins all over the map. Tested in Chionthar ruins and, with a different char (also no tracking feat), north of Beregost.

Re: Goblins and tracking
ok? i mean yea you shouldnt be able to but i dont think there is a whole lot that can be done to the survival mechanics in general
fortunately survival/tracking things that you shouldnt be able to is pretty harmless mechanically, just understand that rp wise you cant really use it

Re: Goblins and tracking
You require the tracking feat to track non-humanoid, non-animal creatures. Goblins are counted as humanoid, so anyone with even a few points in Survival can track them and get their locations to appear on the minimap.
Sometimes the survival ability bugs out and reveals creature locations at a range exceeding one's skill ranks - not much can be done about that though!

Goblins are litterbugs.
