Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Hi there.
I am playing a low level wizard so i tried to follow the advices of more experienced players and saved gold to buy scrolls of summon creature.

I bought Summon creature IX, Gate, Greater Planar Binding.

Everything is fine as you summon xorn with gate or elementals with the summ creature scroll, they kick asses. But as soon as i switched to another type of creature i got bad surprise
Greater Planar summoned a lvl 7 djinn with 45 hp!
Summon creature IX summoned a celestial stag with 105 hp and it says "dominated dire bear" showing a dire bear picture in the corner. I haven't tried with gate scroll, i don't want to waste them
That said, i don't know if it is a bug or you're all aware of this anyway just wanted to report and maybe get some advices from experienced players about what is worth to be summoned and what not.

By the way, is possible to summon more than one creature together?

A summon creature or planar ally should prompt you to select a choice of options to "call."

If you were given no choice, then something is wrong.

You can have 1 summons and 1 planar ally, if your take the Thaumaturge PrC.

I see what you mean, the fact is that when using a level 9 summon creature scroll it displays several choices.
If i choose the elementals they are fine, if i go for another type of creature (i tried celestial stag) it seems to not scale to the right level (105 hp with no special abilities...).

The same for planar binding, although is a lvl 8 spell, if i decide to summon an elemental it scales well, when i tried to call a djinn, it was summoned a lvl 7 outsider with 45 hp.
I think it is quite weird, or not?

If this is the way it is supposed to work then i would like to ask wich creatures are worth to be summoned or if maybe some less powerful summoning have interesting abilities.

Any thoughts?

You will see updated and new creatures within the next updates. Just wait a bit .

Some of the choices are...not so good choices.

But as Nachti says: they is an upgrade coming (at least in choice). And then you can summon XI Praise to Nachti for doing the grunt work!!

New summons? Can we get new summons for the pale master. Would be awesome to get an awesome animate dead summon. I like the elite vamp, but she's a swashy with no weapons and she won't cast any of her vampy feats.

Someone said yesterday that the summons were not working.. I'm going to check this today.

I checked all 9 summon levels on my druid. It's true the Elementals on all levels are Not summoning at all. You can pick them from the list but nothing happens.

All the other creatures seem to summon fine though on the list. Seems their summoned portraits though are all mixed up.

I can confirm this.

Checked Summon VII and VIII on my wizard, both do not summon elementals anymore. They dont spawn.

Shades (on ground) still summons the old elementals.
Greater Planar Ally still summons (old?) elementals.

And I am still having trouble casting Contingent Summoning... When it does work, I get the selection screen but no elemental... I'll wait another 20 minutes to see what happens next.


But the feat really isn't working reliably.
