Background:
Born of an non-noble priestess of Lolth and a Sshamath's city guard.
Raised mainly by his father from whom through rigorous daily training he learned the basics of the sword, in one such sparring the young drow got badly cut into his left hand, leaving it partially disabled. Never really spoke with his mother more than exchanging a few sentences, never really cared either. It came to no surprise that he wasn't the least moved when both his parents killed themselves after blaming each other for Nyphein inability. After their passing he struggled as much as he could to not show any sort of weakness to the fellow drow citizens, used what his father taught him and earned money as thug, sellsword and sometimes as simple merchant, trading with what he salvaged from his journeys outside the city. Realising how differently wizards are being treated in the city, he started to expand his knowlege and learn magic on his own in order to gain social status he always wanted.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:

-Nyphein similiar to wizards ruling ''the City" is obsessed with magical artifacts, after he deepens his magical knowlege he might even try creating some himself.
-Unknown to Nyphein there are people holding a grudge against him from the times he served as a sellsword.
-Even though he doesn't show it, there is a sort of internal conflict inside of him, on one hand he is no different from the next drow cause that's how he was taught, but on the other he doesn't understand why drows cannot work together in more organised way, obeying the laws etc. If they did, conquering the surface wouldn't be so far off.
