Arch mage - sacrificed slots but which?

I thought it was the first slot on the row that was sacrificed in alphabetical order, with no metamagics.
At lvl 6, I have Acid Fog, Mislead, True Seeing x2, Superior Resistance. Its always Superior Resistance that is sacrificed no matter the order.
Whyyy?

because its the last slot that gets used...
so if you planned on true seeing being the used spell you need to set it up as
Acid Fog, Mislead, True Seeing, Superior Resistance, True Seeing

This is correct, the assignment is first-in ordering, not position ordering.
Six slot example
Spell1 , Spell2, Spell3, Spell6, Spell4, Spell5
Spell6, being the last added spell is the one sacrificed.

So it has nothing to do with alphabetical order at all? We may wish to adjust the descriptions a bit. I was a little confused by this as well.

Tested again. It's not the last slot. Its ALWAYS Superior Resistance. No matter the order.
How does that even make sense?
Mislead, Superior Resistance, Superior Resistance, Empowered Firebrand, Empowered Firebrand, True Seeing, True Seeing.
^Still Superior Resistance being sacrificed.

Well, at least now you know to memorize two superior resistance spells...
what happens if you don't memorize superior resistance? Which spell slot gets sacrificed?

Its propably sorted after spell ID.
Superior resistance has ID 1014. Acid Fog, Firebrand, True Seeing are much lower.

Maybe we should note that it's sorted by spell ID instead?

Funny thing now is that when I got extend spell and extended Greater Heroism, it will eat an extended Greater Heroism
on the 7th slot unless I memorize a regular one on the 6th to sacrifice.
Very 'oh I wonder what spell it will eat this time' whenever re-arranging the spellbok...

Can be learned but initial reaction is quite confusing!

I can see how this would be frustrating. I suppose every time you want to redo your spellbook you almost need a trial first to see if there is any impact to spell memorization. It's troubling that metamagic is considered when the description expressly states it isn't. I am going to flag a topic in QC to see if there is a better way to normalize Archmage sacrificed spells.

It can be worked around and thus, isn't exactly high priority but I wanted to flag up that it can be confusing. I never had any issues with AM and Sorcerer btw. Worked very smoothly. Its AM and Wizard that needs some trial and error.

Actually the script looks up spells of a given level (base level of the spell, metamagics are not taken into account) in the alphabetical order and removes the first one he finds.
Acid fog is a bit particular since it has a spellId of 0 and it looks like it bugs, are there problems for other levels ?
Also the list in alphabetical order was done manually when archmage was first done so new custom spells can be missing from it. Practically try memorizing a vanilla spell whose name begins with A on the level of the sacrificed slot.
