Deity: Gond
Initial Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Profession: Craftsman/Engineer - specializing in weaponry and other tools of war, but capable in numerous tradecrafts
Base Class & Proposed Development:Cleric with plans to take Techsmith of Gond as soon as possible. Additional classes are possible depending on where the roleplay goes, but are not currently planned.
Habits/Hobbies: If he isn't actively working on a project, he is busy working on his drawings and notes. He also tests his creations and modifications extensively and with great frequency.
Languages: Common, Celestial, Dwarf, Gnome, Elven, Mulhorandi, Lantanese
Weapon of Choice: Primarily his crossbow, but he is highly fond of grenade like weapons as well.
Background: Zac, an aasimar, was born and raised in Mulhorand. However, he left his home at a young age; before even reaching adulthood, in fact. He ran away, frustrated by the constant trouble his penchant for taking things apart and trying to rebuild or modify them brought him. Frequently feeling the scorn of his family and neighbors he took off, barely more than a child at the time. As a result, he feels little connection to his (barely, at less than 1/32) celestial heritage or his homeland. He rarely speaks of either, but does not lie if it happens to come up. People familiar with the region and keen senses would even from time to time notice telling signs of his background.
Sure of his calling, Zac went forth in Gond's name and traveled expansively to learn and master all sorts of trades. He developed his particular interest in weaponry after seeing how dangerous the world can be during his travels. His experiences with war and violence left a lasting impact on the way he approached things. All the same, his talents made paying for his journeys all across Faerûn easy enough, taking up work wherever he found it. Repairing wagons or farm equipment, smithing jobs, or any manner of things - if it took tools, he was interested. If there was work to be found producing weapons or armor of any sort, he was quick to take the opportunity, but he by no means feels above other forms of labor.
It was only natural that one day his calling would make him realize it was time to truly prove himself. The High House of Wonders, one of Gond's greatest temples awaited him. As he had done many times before, Zac packed all of his gear, tools, and notes. This time, he hit the long road ahead of him, making his way to Baldur's Gate...
Goals: His immediate goal after setting up in Baldur's Gate is to gain acceptance in The High House of Wonders. He would like to apprentice under them and find lots of work as a craftsman to continue to improve his trade and contribute to the prosperity and reputation of the church and do right by Gond.
Zac's loftier, more long term goals are to become a master tradesman and weapons maker to make a name for himself. He dreams of becoming renown for his engineering, designing, or inventing prowess.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: As a cleric and aspiring techsmith of Gond, Zac is incredibly interested in any technological/mechanical/engineering innovations. His pet project is his personal crossbow, with which he is constantly tinkering with and testing, trying to perfect it. He is also eager to participate in any kind of construction or crafting, seeing it all as a chance to practice the teachings of Gond and improve himself.
