The question to ask here is - will that bug get fixed ?
I do not think that it will, at least not without first figuring out a way to let players choose when they get their 1,5*strength modifier added as damage. Currently, you automatically get it unless your weapon is small enough.
Another example would be Duelist's Precise Strike. It should only work with light or one handed piercing weapons, but it works with a spear. And you cannot really ban the spear because you could use that spear one-handedly with monkey grip, but again, the game doesn't really let you choose...
Why not restrict the feat to onehanded weapons ?
A weapon at least one size smaller than the wielder must be wielded with one hand
Halfling/Gnome : Dagger,Kukri
other races: Dagger,Kukri,Shortsword,Handaxe,Kama,Mace,Sickle,Light hammer
Can such a script be coded ?

Why? Is there something OP about it being used by someone wielding a weapon in two hands? Or is it just that the feat is called "one hander"? There should be a reason before queuing more work up to the developers and it is not like Two Handed Weapon Warriors couldn't use a boost (apparently)...

Well, it did work with large/two-handed weapons at first, but that part was quickly (disabled) fixed.
I fully agree that two-handed weapons could need a boost (most of all). Let's enable that again
The name and feat description are clear about its use:
.... you perform a tumble check for one of several one handed maneuvers.
Either rename/change the description or how the feat works.

Works with large weapons if you have monkey grip, but there was some consideration about making it work without needing the feat (no outcome yet, but just bumped the thread in qc).

I have no been able to keep this feat active for more than a minute without it just turning itself off.
It was also nerfed in the last patch, giving it only half the AC values it had been both long term and the short term bonuses.
Can we at least make the long term bonus permanent if a weapon is equipped? Right now the AC can't be counted on at all as it will stop functioning mid fight as often as not. It almost always stops working in between fights and it takes a very long time to deactivate and reactive, 2 rounds or more.
It's one of the buggiest new feats I have worked with and could really use a little TLC.
On a personal note:
If we want to create a feat to help 2 handers I'd be all for that, but currently this feat doesn't work right for people using it one handed and I think it should be kept separate from 2 handed weapons and give that its own feat with different bonuses as its a more powerful style that one weapon to begin with. Baldur's Gate two offered both "Styles" as proficiencies you could select, but they gave separate benefits.
Two handed weapons get a hand and a half strength bonus and do more damage. That's why they are better. Using a shield means sacrificing that damage, a one hander is sacrificing both the shield and the damage.

Weird, I only changed the bonuses it gave, remember that the +1 AC bonus is only in combat though and it's on a 6s heartbeat, the character sheet is unlikely to keep up.
Or do you mean you received a message "One hander deactivated" for no particular reason ?

No, it gives no message, it just stops rolling checks for the bonus's and the bonus AC disappears. If you use the icon again it will properly deactivate, even though it had already stopped working.
My sheet always shows the correct AC while I am getting messages about different move being rolled, but once those stop, the +1 AC is always missing from my sheet. And once the special moves stop appearing, they never come back until I turn it off and back on.
This has nothing to do with your recent changes, I've been using it for 2 weeks now and it was just as broken before them.
Perhaps the check that runs on heartbeat is having an exception and the whole script is ceasing? That's about what the behavior I am seeing feels like.
PS: Happy to give a demonstration IG any time. If you are in my party you can see the moves being rolled in the combat log. After a few minutes they just stop.

I have three questions about this feat that relate to the bug discussion above.
1) Is it reliable by now?
2) Does it still give 1 AC in addition to the one-handed manoeuvres (as mentioned in the wiki but not in the new feats description here on the forum)? Does it do so while activated? Or during combat?
3) Do those one-handed manouvres kick in randomly or are they sensitive to the abilities of the build? I am planning a build with no Parry skills and no Feint, for instance. Would that build still carry out the manouvres that depend on these and hence waste precious time?
(I need this info to decide between One Hander and Armor Skin)

3) yes its randomly.

At the very worst the +1 AC can be made entirely reliable, which should solve your dilemma.

Any, just use one weapon and nothing in the off-hand (can go two-handed), the description in the feat should be clear, if not please tell.

Sorry, i don't get it - does it work with two-handed weapons or not ? (Is monkey-grip required?)
from the wiki:
If you are fighting with a one-handed weapon or a light weapon, and carrying nothing in your off hand, the One Hander feat enables a combat style in which .....

I was speaking about the in game description, I didn't update the wiki.
Just use one weapon, nothing different in the off-hand, and it will work. Two-handing a greatsword will work.

It works with every weapon as long as there is nothing in the off hand. So it works with Large weapons with no monkey grip required.
