Or something that works with weapon finesse?
Being a weapon that doesn't do physical damage, strength shouldn't be a governing attribute. Just my two thoughts. Whatcha guys think?

Is this enchanted blade a spell I'm not aware of or something?

Yep. 2nd level arcane spell. Conjures a magic long sword into your inventory. 0 physical dmg, 1d8 magical damage.

Enhancement bonuses apply, though. The 'No Damage' property only negates the weapons base damage, in this case longsword 1d8. If you cast GMW +5 on it, it will be +5 physical (slashing) and +1d8 magical damage, plus Strength & Weapon Specialisation damage (if applicable)
A choice would be nice, kinda like the Enchanted Weapon spell in BG2 that gave the character the choice of a +3 mace, longsword, battleaxe or shortsword.
Might be nice if the 7th level spell Enchanted Bow offered a similar choice between longbow, shortbow & light crossbow too.

Don't get me wrong-I love this spell, even if it is kinda hard to optimize around. Being able to conjure your own blade...THAT'S Arcane melee imo. So now, does power attack, deadly defense, or northland hewing affect the damage then? I'm feeling the answer is yes, but I'd rather find out through public embarrassment than in game ☺
