Over the years the strength requirement has been lowered, to 27 so that single class Barbarian halflings could get the feat. Now, forum changes list that the strength requirement has been lowered to 21.

However, in game someone now claims that the barbarian now requires 21 constitution, something that has not been listed anywhere... If this is true...

Why on earth have you made such a pointless change that screws over anyone who is not going for the Earth Genasi cheese?

21 CON is required for Epic DR and Fast Healing feat line. So the common philosophy is you need 21 STR and 21 CON to build a solid Barbarian. This is true, in so far as the best bang for your buck is to get both epic rage (and thundering rage) for damage and DR / fast healing for damage mitigation. However, 21 CON is not required for Epic Rage specifically.

How much STR for epic rage? 21 or 27 or 30?

Check this topic out, it clearly mentions Epic Rage at STR 21.

Also, still banning devastating critical? Our players need to understand that we have not added Kaedrins packs. This server isn't an extension of NWN2DB. It's the original game, with a few things from Kaedrin and other developers added in and often tweaked to be more balanced. We have not added all of it, far from it. The topic above lists all the changes from the original game. Devastating critical isn't part of the original game, so it makes more sense to say that we haven't added devastating critical, rather than saying that we've banned it as that hints at it having been present at some point in time which it has not.

And it was just an answer. BG does not use Kaedrins full class bases and feats. This has been pretty well known to about everyone over the years. At least now though the old issues between Kaedrin and the server are going away.....in fact he might even do some work for the server if they asked really nicely. He did recently return to ROT to work on some things.....

A moment of weakness, so to speak. I completely forgot that Epic Rage had a BAB requirement. After all, it did require 30 strength and then 27. Thus no matter what barbarian build I have gone for I have been able to pick up the Epic Rage feat around at level 27~. Thus, you can imagine my shock when I thought I was able to get it at character level 23 instead of 25!

Yeap, and for those purposes Barbarian 20/Fighter 10 is the best build you can do. With 21 in both strength and constitution, you could get Epic Rage, Thundering Rage, +9 Epic DR and Fast Healing.

Personally, I have gone for the "40" strength barbarian.

I would argue barbarian/ warrior of darkness (Or AK) is better than fighter. Fewer feats but similar damage and better saves.

I can see where you are coming from, but I do have my thing for the Epic Toughness HP increases. Not to mention that a Barbarian/Fighter can use those fighter bonus feats to get epic feats earlier compared to an Anointed Knight/Warrior of Darkness - and skip the alignment restrictions. Now, you could delay your Mighty and Epic rage with AK/WoD to push the bonus feat earlier - but it is kind of nice to have Mighty Rage at level 23, and Epic at level 25.

Although... Now that I think about it, I am not sure if I can pick up Epic Rage on a non Barbarian level....
