Shadow Walk

Unread post by Edwin »

This is not an issue or a bug, but I honestly didn't know where to post this. What's the deal with Shadow Walk? Does investing in the Search skill improves the chance of successful travel? Does the number of teleportations to a location improves the chance the more teleportations you have done? The DC always seems to change as well. I just don't wanna waste skill points etc. for something that's not going to get better.

Yes, the spell makes use of concentration or search skill, whatever is higher.

That's some wasted skill points ^^ I thought it was always search. Thanks for the answer.

Can it be confirmed that it does indeed make a choice for the higher?

There have been several reports of it not taking concentration into account in the past.

It takes the higher of the two.

Yeah it seems to. How about the familiarity bonus? Does that lower the DC? Like if you've shadow walked to Beregost 20 times, and to Palace District only 3 times, the former should have a much lower DC every time. Right?
