Bear Warrior Action Bar

I know a lot of you might be done hearing about my suggestions for this class, but I am trying to make this class a bit more enjoyable for everyone. I will gladly try playing another class after this and do a similar evaluation if someone would like me to try something new. This has nothing to do with power or hidden agenda, merely trying to see more bear warriors in the world that wont be frustrated. I would love to hear feedback on these before I try to submit to QC.
The following are suggestions for a new Bear Warrior hotbar with rational. I will be making the icons and Valefort has offered to assist me with the coding. In addition to Knockdown and Charge, I thought I would offer something a bit more dynamic that adds to a few of the engine's shortcomings.

Maul
Specifics: The Bear Warrior mauls his victim in an all out assault, ignoring his defenses while increasing the ferocity of his attacks. For the next round, all attacks gain wounding and +1 slashing damage for every 2 Bear Warrior levels rounded down. Your AC is reduced by the same amount till the end of your next turn.
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 30 Seconds
Rational: Get a slight maul boost to deal some damage over time on some of those tanky mobs. The potential to get 6 attacks that all inflict wounding with a slight damage boost and 2 rounds of an AC drop is perfect. Ends with a +5 damage on each attack and equal AC drop.

Roar
Specifics: As a swift action, you let loose a mighty roar demoralizing opponents within 30 feet. Affected creatures must make a Will save (DC 10 + Bear Warrior Level + 1/2 Intimidate). Creatures that fail this save are shaken (-2 penalty on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws) for a number of rounds equal to half your Bear Warrior level rounded up. Allies within the area also gain an additional +2 on attack rolls. This does not affect the Bear Warrior.
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 30 Seconds
Rational: Giving bear formsomething that lets loose a roar of intimidation makes for some great RP not to mention a nice boost for group based gameplay. Players will be encouraged to spend more time in a group setting and the bear warrior can offer something to those who don't have as high a hit chance like rogue classes. Since the AOE will not affect the bear warrior itself, this is more focused on others around you. The mechanic will be a simple auto-self targeted AOE that uses the shout graphic with hopefully some sound.
I am trying to add a bit more dynamic gameplay to the class rather than a rightclick and wait mechanic. I would also like to see the cooldowns on each ability show on the mini-pop-up action bar if its possible. I know the damage suggestions I've been putting out have been vetoed, this takes the class in a different direction. My hope is these could also be used for other classes int he future such as Shifter whenever it gets re-opened for coding.![]()
Lick Wound
Specifics: As a full round action, you lick your wounds closed with your tongue healing yourself equal to 3d8 + 1 point per Bear Warrior level. This ability is self only.
Cooldown: 120 Seconds
Rational: One of the biggest problems with the class is the dreaded shapeshifting back at low HP and instantly dying. You have no means to heal yourself outside of your natural regeneration which doesn’t amount to much once you start getting the giant barbarian health pool. The ability is designed to be an out of combat emergency to prevent yourself from shifting back and dying. The 120 second cooldown will ensure that this ability will only be used once in most cases unless the Bear Warrior builds for rage duration in which case it could be used twice if used immediately. I am all for making this a 500 second timer in which its used once never gets used again.Because of this, I am removing the Lick Wound ability as it meets the requirements intended for the ability.Valefort wrote:Regarding the Lick wound suggestion, if your worry is dying from the CON loss a possibility is adding an effect like spirit shaman where you're automatically healed a bit whenever you go under 0 (only once per day ofc).
