Is that such an issue ? Spells like cloud kill also affect the caster, don't they ?

Just tell me what that cloud thing does and I'll tell what you can do to try negate its effect.

Weakening cloud

Daze effect, -2 AC, -2 AB. Fortitude save for not being dazed and halving the other effects .
DC is 5 + Deathsinger levels + spellcasting ability modifier.
Duration : 1 round per Deathsinger level.

This ability can be used two times per day.

In NWN2: A dazed creature is unable to run, attack, and cast spells, and it can not actively use feats and skills. They can still defend themselves however, by slowly trying to walk away, which means that the AI will pretty much just stand still and take a beating.

Now, the fortitude save on that ability kind of implies that we are not dealing with a 'daze' effect that is strictly speaking mind-affecting, hence Protection Against Aligment and Mindblank probably should not confer immunity. It doesn't really sound like a disease either, and thus in my opinion what it most closely resembles is a Poison. So any source of poison immunity or resistance should work against this Weakening Cloud. Spells like Stone and Ironbody, for example give blanket poison Immunity, while Spiderskin should increase your fortitude save against poison.

From clerical spell list: Undeath's Eternal Foe also gives entire party poison immunity, and Neutralise Poison should end the effect along side with a Rejuvenation Cocoon from the Druidic spell list.

Thus... get Toughness and Steadfast Determination feats, then cast Spiderskin, and Superior Resistance and you should not be dazed by your own Weakening Cloud. Well, you will still suffer the -1 to AB and AC but at least you are not dazed. Edit: DC of 25~ should be easy enough to meet this way, and then any source of Poison Immunity should just act as a blanket block against it. Edit: so get those Clerics of Lolth into your party.

Anyhow, just my thoughts about it.

well, if you give a tempory immunity to daze if thats possible it would help. I don't know of freedom of movement stops the daze effect

or make it aura type ability, that would be far more useful. Kinda like blackguard

its not horrible, since deathsinger are suppose to be melee, you daze the cloud and attack with spells?

and wait for the cloud to disapate with melee

Bladesinger can at least cast freedom of movent to to stop the secondardy effects. Also fortitude is usually buff pretty high on mobs.

Scream of Death [sonic](Su): At 4th level and every 4 levels afterward (4th and 8th), a Deathsinger gains a daily use of a terrifying abyssal scream. As a free action a Deathsinger pitches his voice to a forgotten and feared demonic song that lasts for a number of rounds equal to his Con modifier, panicking any living foes within 60 ft for 1d4 minutes if they fail a will savingthrow with a dc equal to 10 + half the deathsingers level + his or her Cha modifier. Those that save still are shaken (-2 to attacks, saves and ability checks) when they remain within 60 ft and in earshot of the Deathsingers scream.

to make it useful for the server

I think a good o' special fear spell would be nice and more lore apporiate

I'll try making Deathsingers immune to that cloud instead, as if they knew the antidote.
