I made a drow the rp is actually pretty good down here. But I do not understand Drow on the surface are kill on sight or a dm sends you back down. I can understand this too a point. But surface ton's can wonder around UD with really no good resoan and are not sent up and are not allowed too be killed on sight ?

Surface toons are kos down below and do need a rp reason to be there

Alrighty I was very misinformed then. I see quite a few of them running in the upperdark and in titan fist mines. Figures I was told I needed consent by a surface toon

I think surface toons are allowed in the Upperdark and the normal PVP rules apply. Its the underdark proper that is KOS (except Sshamath)

I'm sure a DM will be along to clarify!

This is not true. Just is not true at all. Surface PCs most certainly can not wander around for no reason and any UD PC would be completely justified in stopping an individual on suspicions as well to try and out them as surface for which they can flee you or be killed. The same applies to UD PCs on the surface. There is no special rule opposite for surface and UD alike. All the rules are the same for everyone.

In the UpD yes there is a ruling of all pcs have reason to be there grinding and looting. So yes the normal PvP rules apply in the UpD.

This means you MUST ANNOUNCE INTENTION TO PVP AND GIVE A ROLE PLAY OUT!

Telling them to surrender or die is not a RP out either contrary to popular PVPer opinion. RP out means giving them the option to avoid any loss on their part by simply walking away and not fighting or surrendering. A surrender is still a PvP loss and puts you at the PvPers mercy just like a lost fight that is not what the rule is for. At least in my opinion.

Thank you for clearing this up. Now I can defend the tunnels with other further hassle thank you everyone for clearing this up
