Hello! I do not know if this is the proper place to put this yet... It is also kind of minor:
I'm just curious about why all the dragon armors(that I can at least recall off the top of my head) except for copper dragon armor have material: dragonhide? Is there a reason this armor would not be made out of dragonhide?

Re: Copper Dragon Armor
if someone didnt change the base material which is iron by default then yea
other than that it doesnt really matter for nwn needs since few armor materials have added properties and dragon hide is not one of them
tho rp/pnp wise it would hinder certain classes, like druids of whats her face that doesnt allow the use to metal since her followers have to use only natural items

Erm metal is natural, some forms of it like copper and gold can even be found on the surface without even needing to mine it. Not trying to overturn any rules as it does not effect my character but the people who designed the druid class obviously did not know much about the (natural) world they claim their druid represents lol.

I actually play a cleric. I'm only asking since to me it doesn't make sense, even though I know it has no statistical value. Regardless, the suit of armor in itself is immoral to wear because it is made of the scales/hide(at least in the description) of a Copper Dragon, one of the good metallic dragons. Also one of the weakest - (I would assume why it only gives Acid DR rather than a breath weapon)

yes except copper and gold are currencies and do not count, its mostly to do with iron - also not to mention that copper and gold are naturally soft metals and have no use as armor or weapons until they are mixed with other metals and then would be considered man madeV'rass wrote:Erm metal is natural, some forms of it like copper and gold can even be found on the surface without even needing to mine it. natural iron is actually cold iron but once its smelted it loses its natural properties and is then considered man made
cold iron stays cold iron if you never introduce fire into the shaping, meaning it has to be beat into whatever shape with raw strength

Sounds like it just needs a change to the blueprint to give it the correct material type. I've been doing some blueprint fixes like this in batches and I'll add this one to my list even if there's no mechanical difference.
