A filthy dwarf with... stuff stuck in his white beard and a bad breath is sitting at the campfire outside the Friendly Arm Inn. He is discussing with a mageling how he found this amulet on a troll he killed, and how the wizard he brought it to told him (after being generously compensated) that this amulet will make the wearer tougher and smarter, aside from projecting a feeble light in front of its wearer.
The dwarf holds up the amulet, and you look at it:
"Aye, only 300 thousand gold pieces. Practically a steal. I really need the money. For beer."
