Hotbar Mods - Allowed?
As a bard I've officially run out of horizontal hotbars for my songs, spells, and abilities. In my opinion the vertical hotbars offered by the base game GUI are awful, so I was looking into a mod that could add 1 or 2 more.
I just need to know 3 things:
a) is it allowed to have a hotbar mod?
b) is it possible to have a hotbar mod on a multiplayer server?
c) do you have any suggestions for one of these mods if it is both a and b.
EDIT: yes i do know about quickcast menu but I'm looking for something more permanent.

Re: Hotbard Mods - Allowed?
a) Yes, UI mods are allowed.
b) Yes, they should work for the most part. I know at least I've used Charlie's UI to get a super giant hotbar before, but I don't know what particular mod you're looking into.
c) The only UI mod I've tried is the Charlie's one that adds a gigantic long hotbar at the bottom of your screen. I eventually ended up uninstalling it myself because most of the slots can't actually be used via hotkey for whatever reason (it still only uses 1-0, -, and = as possible hotkeys no matter how many hotbar spaces you have visible on your screen). You can give it a shot if you'd like. Other users that have experimented with more things might be able to give you better input.

Re: Hotbard Mods - Allowed?
Thanks for your input, Endelyon.
I just installed xUI and while I can't figure out how to rebind the keys; I don't think binding will be too much of an issue with the 6 second rounds (should be plenty of time to click on what you need), I only really used 1-4 before anyways.
This is what xUI looks like if anyone's interested, and you can get it here:

It uses a super simple installer that you just check what you want to use.

Re: Hotbard Mods - Allowed?
Is there a hotbar that adds timers on buffs and abilities?
Like bear warrior doesn't have a timer so it's just random when you shapechange back.
Be nice to see how much longer you have left.

What you need to do is calculate the duration of your rage. Constitution Modifier + 5 + Extend Rage feats.Akroma666 wrote:Is there a hotbar that adds timers on buffs and abilities?

For example Constitution Modifier of 4, Extend Rage II, would give you 18 rounds of rage, which is about 1.8 minutes of rage. 1 round is 6 seconds, so 10 rounds is 1 minute. Now, if you play in windowed mode, you just glance at your time, and you know about when it will end. In our example, about two minutes to the future.

I know my rage lasts exactly 3.5 mins, but it's completely pointless to watch in window mode when it's probably a very simple coding to add a rage timer somewhere.. even if it's in the already existing action bar pop-up.Comments Only wrote:What you need to do is calculate the duration of your rage. Re: Hotbar Mods - Allowed?
It's possible to edit the hotbar to your preferences. I think I wrote a small explanation how to do it somewhere here some years ago. I can post instructions later the day how to do it. It's quite simple and you don't need to be a pro programmer for that

Is it possible to put special abilities (lunge) in the hot bar?

I use this with autohotkey:Akroma666 wrote: I know my rage lasts exactly 3.5 mins, but it's completely pointless to watch in window mode when it's probably a very simple coding to add a rage timer somewhere.. even if it's in the already existing action bar pop-up.

Simply instal autohotkey, create text file, rename it (eg "timer.ahk"), paste above and run script with the game (I run it borderless). Change values for timercount and hotkey you use to activate your rage (in provided example its 8). A small countdown timer will appear in upper-left each time you'll push 8 button. Also if you want to close this script push "\".
//Edited for better code.
