Hideous blow with warlock polymorphs

I have a quick question. Does the automatically reapplying hideous blow work while a warlock is polymorphed into the wolf and carnugon forms? (I don't have a warlock high enough to try myself). And if so is this legitimate or considered exploiting a glitch?

It does not re-apply but it potentially should with Gutual invocations feat (not sure if it does).
However it seems warlock polymorphs did not get same love that druids got and their polymorphs are super-weak judging based on the hellhound.
