Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I was wondering how exactly the feat "Rapid Reload" works.
From what I read in the feat description, it gives the same number of attacks with a crossbow as one would have with a bow. That's fairly simple.

However, when I browsed the web, I found that the rapid reload only gives one extra attack.

When searching the forum, people were also discussing the fact that the maximum number of attacks you can get with a crossbow is 4 (2 regular, haste and rapid shot).

I am now very uncertain which information I can trust.
Is there anyone who can give me the information on how exactly it works on this server?

Oh and also - can I pick rapid shot and use it for a crossbow without having picked the rapid reload? For example when I get rapid reload from an item?

Rapid Reload gives one additional attack, rapid shot a third, and haste a fourth.

So to understand it correctly - the in game description of the rapid reload feat is incorrect, right?

I don't know the ingame description, but that's how it works here:
You have 1 (base attack ) + 1 (rapid reload) +1 (rapid shot) + 1 (haste attack).

Yes the description is somewhat misleading...

Type of Feat: General

Prerequisite: Base attack bonus +2.

Specifics: The character is able to reload so quickly that they get the same number of attacks with any crossbow as they would if they were using a normal bow.

Use: Automatic.

Just another example of Bugsidian's copy-paste job from NWN1, unfortunately!

The corrected description should be live next update. Sorry for the confusion.

It should be noted that rapid shot, without rapid reload is useless.

If you're using a crossbow, that is.
