Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I downloaded the game off of direct2drive last night, but I keep getting an error insert disk 2. I

I uninstalled and started over. No luck
Tired installing without update. No luck
Installed with updates. No luck
Then tried run as administrator. No luck
Tried running in different compatibilities. I have windows 10, so I tried vista and XP. With and with out update as well as run as administrator. No luck
The tool set works


I uninstalled for the 4th or 5th time now, and started update before going to work. Looking for another approach.

I've thought about going through files on my old computer and find the missing file and transfer it to the new computer but that will take some time finding the right miss file.

Also using all three cd keys

The fastest way would probably be buying it over GoG Galaxy.

When it loads it has some patch preloaded all ready. Its not the original screen. So one of the exe. file might be corrupted.

thanks Theo but tried that as well. But I did find a on a forum a few minutes ago that direct2drive has had this issue before when using window default zip extractor, but instead us WinRAR to extract the files instead. Due to the Windows zip causing it to prompt for the disc to load. So hopefully that will work. That's an easy fix if so.

Your best bet is to do what I did.

Break out and dust off your old CD disks.

Install all three disks, making certain to *NOT* update after each installation.

Once the final disk is done, pop into the google drive and download all the updates. Run the updater untill it tells you none are needed. THEN run it twice more.

Plug in your CD keys, then try to connect.

Downloading them once again, this time going to disconnect the internet before installing then try log on to the game locally first, then backing out to put patches in. I have no idea where my original disc are. I haven't seen them in almost a decade.

one more time if it doesn't work this time I am buy a new copy and hope my old keys work on it.

Got it working patch file where not going to the correct location for some reason.

Let us know if you have any trouble logging into your account once you download the server's custom content. Especially if you have new CD keys.
