Disguise how it works now.

Quick over view of how disguising oneself now. So wearing a mask and changing clothes no longer works? How many points in it do you really need. So lets say your character strong arm robs someone, that doesn't know you and you are wearing a mask and different cloths do they know who you are, or do you have to roll a disguise skill check now?

Any advise on how this works now or links to old post would be helpful.

Wearing a mask and changing clothes still works, no one is forced to use the disguise system and rolls are not enforced in players versus players situations. A DM might ask you to roll your disguise skill to see how good it is though ! And you can do the same if you want to play fair ofc :)

The disguise system works like this : http://bgtscc.wikia.com/wiki/Disguise_system

but not give someone information when they call you out on it and you do not have points in that skill would seem a violation of server rule. Because you are not playing your character sheet. If you have -1 disguise and you put one on, some one spots you, they should gain a bit of knowledge on your character correct. Is it still 3 encounters with the same individual. Or if they can beat you disguise DC do they know who you are?

It's really strictly in the hands of the players, you can use the appraise mechanic and the disguise system will send you back a message indicating what you discovered, or not (never the name but it can give you the race, gender, and if they're actually trying to disguise themselves or not (using the disguise system that is)).
