Started with an axe head and a hickory board, spent several hours with hand saws, various files, and a few rasps, and ended with a hung axe on a nicely contoured haft that I literally made to fit my hand...
Guess what, though, that hickory I was told to dry enough to work...yeah, no. Less than an hour after finish sanding and cracks are already forming...
The frustration is real.
