Ulgoth's Beard laws?
I looked for on the IC Laws of the Land thread here, and could find no laws for Ulgoth's Beard
Then I went IG and checked for signs or laws posted somewhere in the hamlet. No luck.
Is it a lawless place?
If not what are the laws?
Thanks!

Re: Ulgoth's Beard laws?
Ulgoth's Beard is land under Duchal control, so the same laws that apply to BG apply there.
Ulgoth's is a Lighthouse settlement at the estuary of the Chionthar River, whereas BG is further upstream (and not actually a sea port!).

Re: Ulgoth's Beard laws?
Thanks for the answers.
I was just curious because I am rolling a new orc toon and want to know if I am allowed to fish in Ulgoth's.
Can a DM chime in here with an official ruling?

would your orc want to fish in urgoths beard? if it is justifiable to your orc then you would have a reason. a few other places to fish that are orcy.

Is Ulgoth the only place to fish?
That would be the first question.
If it isn't, the other places, do they allow orcs?
If not... then I would say it is no different than taking quests in Baldurs Gate.

You can fish along the Chionthar between Ulgoth's beard and Baldur's Gate and also in Soubar. I don't think there are other spots.

Re: Ulgoth's Beard laws?
I just noticed yesterday that there is a sign on the FAI side of the Gate Bridge stating no orcs in any of the adjacent areas are allowed.
Obviously quest pickups are excluded, but it does make it to where orcs are going to be a non beginner race for those who do not understand the areas around server and how they connect (especially after the area rework).

the area rework really hampered my orc movements. at mid level i am restricted to just about 3 areas.

Yeah, I have noticed. I bred a new orc, so messing with him while my current main is in the shop.

Use the upperdark , It would be so cool if the upperdark would go all over the server with a few more points to get to the surface and ud.

Re: Ulgoth's Beard laws?
I tried the upper...(dangit tangent, I apologize OP) but the upper really offends me.
Black Orcs running the safe zone for Gray Orcs... plus the upper is VERY unforgiving with some fairly difficult opponents.
Plus almost no one is around there, it is mostly solo action with an ultra rare chance of a pickup group.

Re: Ulgoth's Beard laws?
black orc running the greys areas is my longest term project going in RP for my orcs. the overthrow has been what i have been working towards for about 6 months. orc rp just goes through so many ebbs and flows and dm's come and go makes movement challenging at best. near impossible at worst. taking back our zones IS the number one priority of a few of the orc players. the ones that have been here for 6 months or more.
