Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

This is simply a public service announcement:

A user on the website http://www.nwn2db.com has figured out an exploit that allows them to delete an nwn2db account by injecting code into a build/comment on a build. A build appeared on the website called "Islam is the Root of All Evil," and clicking on it causes whatever account you're logged into to be deleted (and all the builds saved on the account to be wiped out as a result).

I don't think this website has been administrated actively in years and I frankly doubt anything will be done to fix it, so log out of your nwn2db accounts before viewing builds if you value your account safety!

On the bright side it looks like nwn2db actually got rolled back! So my guess about the site being actively administrated was just wrong. At least I got my own account back too.

How much effort, up front and maint fees, and server space would it take to build our own, with our custom feats/classes?

I'm not the guy... but it would be cool!

AoS is already building it on the side, but it takes time and is not the highest priority he has obviously... It is far enough out that he hasn't given a timeline when he's posted about it in the past, has only stated that he is working on it. I'm sure based on his past work that when it comes out it will be so amazing the server will be empty for a few days as everyone plays with their shiny new toy and puts every build they have ever made on to the AoSBGdb.

that is exciting news. there are so many talented people involved with our server.
